First of all, why shouldn't blacks care about illegal immigration? Throughout the United States construction and landscape jobs are being taken over by illegal Mexicans. Construction and landscape are two areas where a black man could count on for gainful employment, but not any more. Same thing for lower income whites and legal hispanic citizens. <BR/><BR/>Then you bring up Mexicantown in Detroit. Miami has a 'Little Haiti' and we all know that Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, so it's not about Mexicans having this brilliant entrepreneurial spirit. Fact is, if you put enough people in an area there will be success stories. Roscoes Chicken and Waffles is a prime example of that.<BR/><BR/>Yes, Mexicans work hard but so do Americans. Sorry pal but most Americans can't afford to work for $3.50 an hour with no benefits because over here in the U.S. we're not accustomed to living 12 people in a 1 bedroom apartment. Put 12 people in a 1 bedroom apartment and you'll be surprised how far a weekly paycheck can last.<BR/><BR/>Mexicans are costing the U.S. taxpayer more than they're giving back in the following ways:<BR/>1. 40% of the money they earn is sent back to Mexico. This certainly doesn't help the U.S. economy.<BR/>2. Social services are bursting at the seams. Hospitals in the SW U.S. are closing because by law they cannot turn anyone away from an ER and guess what? MEXICAN'S DON'T PAY THEIR HOSPITAL BILLS!!!<BR/>3. About 45% of those incarcerated in Federal prisons are here illegally. That's billions every year to feed and house people that are here illegally.<BR/><BR/>I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on..... but I think youi get the point.<BR/><BR/>Your argument about learning other languages is also a crock of shit. As a black man I learned and speak spanish so that I could go to Latin America and understand the language -- NOT to find my way down South Beach Miami. Yes, Americans SHOULD learn Spanish, but hispanic immigrant NEED TO learn english.<BR/><BR/>As you pointed out illegal immigrants come from all over the world but hispanic illegals make up 90% of the total illegal population -- and of that 90% Mexicans make up 75%. Blacks have just as much right, if not more, to be upset with the illegal invasion. We fought hard for 200 years to be treated as equals and be granted basic rights and equal protection. So tell me how is it fair that someone who snuck over here illegally be granted amnesty and be entitled to the same rights and priveleges that we forugh so hard for.<BR/><BR/>And i'm not sure if you're aware, but Mexicans are probably more racist that white Americans. They still think black face comedy is funny to this day.<BR/><BR/>Yes, everyone in this country is an immigrant but the current economic structure of out nation was not built to withstand uncontrolled immigration of people (Mexicans) who in turn have an average of five children per family.<BR/><BR/>I want you to watch this video.
